He has been a practicing psychiatrist for more than 30 years. Stephen Durand, CRNA, APRN

TMS and Ketamine Specialist

Stephen Durand, CRNA, APRN, offers behavioral health services to patients at Dura Medical in Naples, Florida. Stephen moved to Naples in 2004 to attend Wolford College, where he received his training as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and simultaneously earned a master’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.

During his training, Stephen developed a love for obstetric (OB) anesthesia and decided to specialize in it. He has also trained hundreds of anesthesia students as a clinical instructor.

During this time of working in OB, Stephen became very familiar with using ketamine as a pharmacological agent for surgical pain. When he discovered it was being used to treat mood and pain disorders in outpatient settings, he sought out a former colleague using ketamine to successfully treat people who were once thought to have been treatment-resistant.

Stephen took an extensive training course and became certified in ketamine to treat patients suffering from depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and many pain disorders. At that time, no clinics in Naples offered ketamine infusion therapy, and Stephen was convinced that Naples needed one. He and his wife Liz, a registered nurse (RN), started Dura Medical, LLC in 2018 to help as many people as possible experience healing from mood disorders and chronic pain.

Kathryn Hart, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CPNP-PC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner & TMS and Ketamine Specialist

She obtained additional certification in psychiatry and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in August 2018 from the University of North Florida.

Katie has held various positions in the mental health field for the last decade, providing invaluable lessons that have helped solidify her passion for psychiatry. While completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapist providing in-home behavioral therapy to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. After becoming a registered nurse, she began working at an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital outside Columbus, Ohio. Her experience working as a psychiatric nurse taught her a great deal about mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, major depression, and substance abuse disorders.

When she’s not caring for patients, Katie enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her three rescue dogs. She also enjoys reading, spending time by the pool or beach, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes in the fall!

My primary interest in therapy is in helping you find and be your true self. I believe that the therapeutic process should be one that reflects the unique nature and potential of every individual. From a very young age, I have known that I wanted to work in a helping profession. While I’ve dabbled in various business industries in my professional career, my focus has always been on the human aspect with a wholistic perspective. I have worked with a diverse group of clients ranging from ages 10 to 69 experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood dysregulation, OCD, ADHD and disordered eating.

As a certified Yoga and Meditation instructor, I’ve seen how complimentary my formal mental health studies have been in elevating mindful practices through an integration of spiritual and psychological approaches. This means looking at who we really are, the relationships we are in, and what stops us from having the life we want to live.

I see therapy as a process of self-discovery; a delicate and exciting journey that should be taken with care and support. My goal is to support you in accessing and executing your highest potential in becoming the best version of yourself

Registered Mental Health Intern

As people we want connection. Connection to ourselves, others, and the world around us. When suffering with mental health challenges, those connections can be lost, make it difficult to do the day to day and can make the human experience painful.

Whether you are suffering from anxiety, depression, substance use, ADHD, low self-esteem or just life, therapy has the power to assist in gaining new skills, empower through education, and provide a safe space to process those challenging feelings. I have experience working with clients ranging in age from the 6 to 80. I believe in practical strategies to support areas that are impacted, providing education because knowledge is power, and help hold the mirror to assist in clients gaining the ability to improve those connections lost and enjoy the human experience again.

I know that life can be challenging but I also know that we do not have to do it alone. Everyone deserves to be seen and heard and that is my goal. The first step is always the hardest! It would be my privilege to come along this journey with you.
